In short, there isn’t much to update.
His Brother’s Bride has been approved as an audiobook and should be available in the next 4-6 weeks!
I seriously thought things would slow down for me in September, but so far it hasn’t happened. I think I mentioned I was the vice-chair on my boys’ school board. For as many meetings as we had those six weeks leading up to the start of school, I didn’t think there’d be anything else to discuss. I was wrong and I spend large quantities of time each day dealing with school matters, or…
My 150-mile bike ride for MS is coming up next weekend. While I’m once again excited and nervous, I’m also half-dead from all the training. Last year, my husband and I rode about 2-5 miles per day, then went on a long one once a week. By long I mean about 10-14 miles with the longest ride we’d ever done being a one-time 28-mile ride. Not so this year. My husband insists on riding close to 20 miles per day with a few that are longer (like 30 or 50) thrown in every so often which leaves me exhausted! But it’s for a good cause! Also, this year, I must admit that we didn’t reach our goal, but instead came in at $3,499.90 as a total for digital and audiobooks. I have to take responsibility for not coming anywhere close to our goal. When July started, I had no idea I’d be put into a position to make a school building that hadn’t been used in 10 years operational, recruit students, write a full handbook and 100 other things. So I really wasn’t out promoting it like I should have been. I do thank those of you who did so in my place. It also might have been more beneficial to use a newer book that had never been on sale before.
Anyway, between bike training, academic business and starting my publishing house, I haven’t had a lot of time to do the amount of writing I’d like to, nor blogging, but I hope to change that very soon!
I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your fall and that it’s not nearly as hot there as it has been here!
Enjoy the afternoon!
