Books, Just for Fun, Swag

SWAG Part 1: Bookmarks

Last year at this time my office was stacked to the ceiling in post cards. On the front was the cover of one of my books and on the back was the description.

It looked something like this:

They were catchy with the book cover on one side and I’d sign the back under the description. This is a very common practice for those who primarily sell eBooks and not mass market paperbacks.

I ordered 100 copies of each of these (7 of them at the time) and of the 700 original cards (actually 900 because I noticed two typos and had to reorder), I have a collective 200 left. Thank goodness because storing 200 is far easier than 900!

Anyway, I was getting read to order more of all of these, plus some for the Banks Brothers’ Brides series and the Officer Series. But then, I decided to go a different course and this year at RT and any other convention that I attend (and to those who might receive books and prizes from me in the mail) I’ll have bookmarks.

In case you don’t follow me on Facebook and missed these pictures from last week, here are what the different sets will look like:

(Click them to see a larger image, it got distorted when I tired to manually make it larger.)

Scandalous Sisters Bookmark
Groom Series Bookmarks
Banks Brothers’ Brides Bookmarks
Officer Series Bookmarks

I’ve ordered more than enough so if you’d like a few copies to give away to your friends or book, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

  1. Oooh, ooh, oooh (raising my hand). I would absolutely love to have a few of each, if that would be okay. I LOVE getting cool bookmarks. I think it’s a great way to promote authors to those people who would not have known about them (I have a neighbor who I give some swag–and it has turned her to reading authors she has never heard of–and now cannot get enough of!). I would like a few of each, if that is at all possible. Thanks so much!

  2. Hi Rose!

I’d love to get some bookmarks to share not only with my friends that love your book but also for our small independent bookstore who loves sharing swag with the loyal romance customers!

Unlike large chain stores they don’t have the opportunity to get these from the publishers so whenever I take any into the store the booksellers are thrilled and so are the customers!

  3. They all came out looking great. Love the tie on the top of the Groom Series followed by the book cover. The Officer Series is unique too. As I said though, they all look great, nice job.

  4. We stumbled over here coming from a different website and thought I should check things out.
I like what I see so now i’m following you. Look forward to exploring your web page yet again.
