Random Question to win an autographed copy of Intentions of the Earl

You’ve just been asked to join a snack food eating contest. You CANNOT bow out, but you CAN pick your favorite snack food to devour. Which would you pick?

Like last time when I ran this sort of contest, one entry per person, please. For more rules on this giveaway and the website scavenger hunt I’m running, please read this.

Details about the prize:

Will he secure his future by ruining hers, or will she ruin his plans by securing him?

A new twist on the old fortune hunter plot puts an impoverished earl in a position to gain his fortune only by ruining an innocent’s reputation without offering marriage. The innocent he’s selected, however, has no plans to settle for anything less than marriage and will go to almost any length to secure him.

With no other means for an income, the impoverished Andrew Black, Earl of Townson, makes an agreement that will put a definite end to his eight year poverty streak. But, in order to gain his fortune he must do only one simple thing: ruin an innocent young lady’s reputation enough to make her flee to America.

Brooke Banks isn’t interested in marriage, or so she thinks. She came to London to have a good time, and that’s exactly what she’s doing.  Widely known for her tendency to flout the rules, she suspects nothing when a handsome stranger appears on her doorstep.

Thirteen days, a handful of kisses and one scandalous situation later, Andrew and Brooke will have to choose to stick to their original plans, or decide if a life together is worth the risk.

  1. I was going to go with some sort of sweet, but if it was a contest I know I would get sick of it pretty soon. So I am going to go with Tortilla chips with or without salsa. That seems to be the one snack I can just keep eating.

    • I’d be really sick, too. Someone on FB said Twinkies and when I read that all I could think was that I’d be sick after two and unable to even start on the third. I could do chips and salsa (or queso) all day long! Good choice.

      • You Okies and your Queso. I only say that because my best friend is from OK and when she lived here in AZ all I heard was how much she missed queso. She moved back to OK about 4 years ago and on my first trip out to see her we of course went to a mexican food restaurant and had queso. Apparently I am not a fan of tex-mex, which is a whole lot different than most mexican food restaurants out here.

Yes, I don’t think I could stomach more than two twinkies.

      • I have a confession. I love cheese and I am a queso connoisseur. I like to taste queso everywhere I go and I keep a list of which places serve the best queso and which ones I’ll jus settle for the salsa at. I have to admit that living in OK for the past 11 years, I have tasted some really good and some really horrid queso. However, I don’t most Okies love queso–I’d say if there was a “State Condiment”, it’d be Ranch dressing. Until I moved here, I’d only heard of it put on salad or carrots and celery. But around here, I see it on just about everything from french fries to pizza to green beans. Disgusting if you ask me, but that’s the way of it.

      • I love cheese (my mom is from WI, so how could I not?) as well and I like nachos, but queso was something I could live without.
I like ranch with breaded chicken and occasionally I dip my pizza in it. I have been known to dip french fries in it as well. But way back when, oh about 20 years or more ago, I used to cringe every time I saw my brother drown his pizza with ranch. My brother could eat ranch on just about everything and he and I are both native to Arizona.
I guess people eat weird all over the country.

  2. Honey Roasted Macadamia Nuts….my sister sent a pound to me from Hawaii last month and I ate them in 1 sitting

      • My sisters husband is stationed there for 3 years!!! This is the furthest physical distance we’ve ever been apart, minus us each spending a few weeks in Europe during our junior years in high school(we’re 2 years apart). The nuts were awesome, the chocolate macadamia nut coffee was even better! But I would love to either be there or have her back here. That would be much better than a can of nuts! Totally feel slighted that she’s in paradise while I’m stuck stateside!

      • Oh wow. Is he in the Navy, perhaps? You need to tell her that before the three years are up the she sends you a plane ticket inside that can of nuts.

  3. I didn’t see any mention about the contest saying if it’s open to international or not ( i hope it is though ^^;;)

I would choose candy ( my ” petit jus” traditional candy from my country with “anis”) or ice cream ^^

thanks you a lot for this great opportunity

    all the best

    • Yes, it is.

I didn’t even think about it when I posted it originally, however, I already had someone email me about it and I had it on my list to go clear that up. Thank you!

  4. Feel free to keep posting, I’ll pull a winner in the morning but I’ll add mine now. I’d probably say chips and salsa or queso. Before I was a vegetarian though, I’d have had to pick beef jerky without a doubt. I could eat that stuff by the bag.

On Facebook, people chimed in with the following:

    Quesodillas
    Potato Chips
    All About Potato Snack
    Chocolate covered pretzels
    Chips and Queso
    Twinkies
    Cheetos
    Popcorn
    Dunkaroos
    Bacon-wrapped shrimp
    Trader Joes Movie Theater Popcorn
    Brownies with fudge frosting
    Peanut butter M&Ms

  5. Can’t get enough of pistachios!!! But then everyone knows I’m nuts…..I thank you very much (just a little Austin Powers touch!)

  6. Even though I could never enter an eating contest without it being the death of me I would have to say my choice would be Cool Ranch Doritos.
