Okay, I’m a tad late on this, and I apologize. October has begun running away from me already, and unfortunately I just can’t keep up. LOL
But better late than never, right?
So here’s part of my October Newsletter, plus a few extras listed that I’ll be discussing in further details via my posts in the next few weeks:
***October 14, 2011 Her Reluctant Groom will hit the virtual shelves of Amazon and Barnes & Noble, to be followed a few weeks later at Apple’s iBooks, and Sony.
***Since Her Reluctant Groom did not come out on the first of the month making it easy for me to include direct links to different places available in this month’s newsletter like I’ve done in the past, I’ve started another sign up for just being informed when new books are available. All it’ll be is a short e-mail with a quick paragraph that has links to the book listing at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords along with the cover image and an official description. Nothing fancy. If you’re interested in joining the list the sign up click here, and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
***New contest! I’m running a contest where YOU are the writer. I’m not sure the current book description I have for Her Sudden Groom is one that either speaks of the time period, or will appeal to people who haven’t read my earlier books. I know, I know, shame on anyone who hasn’t read them, right? But that’s how it goes. So, I’m in the market for a possible new book description, and who better to help me than you? Now, before you roll your eyes or think you couldn’t possibly be of help, I should tell you this. The description I have listed for one of my earlier books was not the original one I wrote. Rather, a reader pointed out a theme she noticed in the book and I revised my description to emphasize it. All entrants who give an earnest stab at it will receive a free e-copy of one of the Groom Series books of their choosing, and the grand prize winner will a copy of the three remaining books, Her Reluctant Groom, Her Secondhand Groom, and Her Imperfect Groom. For more details on the deadline and how to enter, click here.
***I recently changed my web address to: www.rosegordon.net Keeping in line with the recent change of web address, I decided to completely redesign my website. Thank goodness, because it was in desperate need of something. I’m not a “techie”, however, I was able to manage a complete website makeover with a different background, more links, and many more extras including a working Banks Family Tree with corresponding book titles, a new poll based on Her Sudden Groom, and a few other new features.
***Ever hear of Kindle graph? No? Apparently there is now a way to get a digital autograph―even personalized―by one of thousands of authors who’ve signed up. It’s easy to do, all you have to do is go to the website and choose a book to have “Kindle graphed”. I think this is really neat, and there are literally thousands of books and authors listed, with more joining daily.
***This is just a note on something I covered months ago, but recently had a need to revisit it. If you buy one of my books from say Amazon, but then in six months decide to buy a NOOK, please contact me and I’ll get you a new version that will work on your new eReader. There is no need for you to either buy the book again or *cough cough* try to find a file sharing site to download another copy.
***I’ve started another new “program” that’s in the beta stage right now. It involves ARCs and reviews. Click here for the details I’ve already put out about it, but I plan to go more in-depth with a post about it soon.
I think that’s all. I hope you all have a great October!
