It is July and that means half of 2011 has already slipped away and some  of the hottest days of the year are still ahead of us.

Here’s what’s new on my end:

  • This month Smashwords is running a site-wide sale with books being discounted at 25%, 50%, 75% or even FREE. To look through the on-sale titles, go here.
  • I Still plan to have Her Sudden Groom, Her Reluctant Groom and Her Secondhand Groom come out the first of September, October and
November, respectively. But still no covers. Most of the shots I’ve seen are either too modern (oops, can’t have that) or have already been used either directly or indirectly. So instead of picking through more stock photos, I’ve hired a photographer! We’ll see how well this works out. If it doesn’t—meaning I can’t convince my husband to help me out, hint, hint—I’ll be back to stock. Either way, between now and next month I’ll have covers to share.
  • On the topic of pictures, there’s been a little speculation in my inbox as to just how old I am and why there is no picture of me on any of my bios. This came about after a few posts I made earlier in the week about realizing you’re an adult when… and you’re never to old to enjoy certain things. Well, there’s a reason there’s no photo of me. I’m usually the one behind the camera, not in front of it.
However, after a little thought and a lot of prodding, I’ve decided to finally have a picture taken next week and will post it on all my profiles and bios soon. (I will not, however, be posting my age. It won’t be too hard to figure out though.)
  • And finally, since this weekend is all about celebrating the freedoms and liberties we Americans enjoy, from the first to the fourth I’ll be running a sale on Liberty for Paul. If you haven’t read the book yet, it can be found at the discounted price at Amazon, B&N or Smashwords (coupon: NV38L) for .99 now through Monday, July 4th. If you’d like a little more information about the book beyond just the blurbs or to read character interviews, bizarre facts about the strong-willed heroine or to see just what kind of trouble Liberty landed herself in that got her nominated for a very high honor over at Amazon, you can read all about it on my Liberty for Paul book page .

I think that about covers it. Have a good holiday weekend, everyone.
